Job Listing: Black Belt Engineer
Caterpillar is looking for a Engineer with a Design Background. This position is for a Six Sigma Black Belt in the 3500/3600 platform Product Engineering Team. This role will provide engineering project leadership using the 6 Sigma tools and methods in the areas of tactical new product development programs, current product issue resolution, customer support, and cost reduction issues. Candidate would lead design and development projects using both the DMAIC and DMEDI methodology. Candidate does not need to be BLACK BELT certified.

Required Skills
Candidate must have a four year engineering degree and at least 5 years of design development related experience in progressive engineering assignments. The candidate must possess leadership abilities, communication skills, teamwork skills, initiative and accountability. Previous experience as a Black Belt is desirable but not required. Effective leadership in teams is very important and desired. Communication, project management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a team environment is also desired.
