Job Listing: Assistant Production Manager

Aerotek Scientific, a national leader in scientific staffing, is currently recruiting for a DIRECT HIRE Assistant Production Manager for our client in the Kansas City area.

TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION, QUALIFIED CANDIDATES MUST HAD FOOD MANUFACTURING EXPERIENCE IN A LEADERSHIP ROLE.

BAKING EXPERIENCE AND AIB TRAINING IS ALSO REQUIRED.

The incumbent must be able to understand bakery production plant equipment and ingredient functionality in a plant environment such as the importance of time and temperature for production of bakery products.

The Assistant Production Manager will assist Shift Supervisors in daily operation monitoring of quality, safety, and sanitation.

Additional responsibilities will include ensuring union contractual obligations are fulfilled; ingredient and product flow; ordering; and scheduling.

This position will be a great opportunity to build and expand management skills as the Assistant Production Manager will direct 6 Shift Supervisors and up to 60 hourly production employees.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent experience required. Candidates must have completed AIB baking courses and have food manufacturing leadership experience in a GMP environment. Qualified candidates must be flexible and available to work all shifts, any day of the week as production runs 24 hours a day, 7 days per week.
