Job Listing: Field Cost Analyst

Aerotek Energy Services is currently recruiting a Field Cost Analyst for an engineering firm that designs, builds, operates, and maintains power generation, transmission and distribution facilities and systems throughout the country.


Position:
- Cost analysis and leadership skills are a priority.
- The Field Cost Analyst will demonstrate the ability to establish budgets and cost basis, review accounting data, produce and document forecasts and report results to management and project management.
- Analyze monthly department budgeting and accounting reports to maintain expenditure controls.
- Compile and analyze accounting records and other data to determine the financial resources required to implement a program.
- Consult with managers to ensure that budget adjustments are made in accordance with program changes.
- Direct the preparation of regular and special budget reports.
- Examine budget estimates for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with procedures and regulations.
- Interpret budget directives and establish policies for carrying out directives.
- Perform cost-benefits analyses to compare operating programs, review financial requests, and explore alternative financing methods.
- Review operating budgets to analyze trends affecting budget needs.


Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Associates Degree is preferred, however over 10 years of experience in lieu of degree will be considered. The qualified candidate must be skilled in Excel spreadsheet and Access database software applications as they apply to cost control. JD Edwards and Primavera skills preferred.


This position is for a full-time, long-term contract position based at Chalk Point in Aquasco, Maryland. Based on experience, hourly wages will range from $55-65/hour. Per diem is also available for those that qualify.
