Job Listing: Certified Nursing Assistant

Aerotek Scientific is currently hiring for Certified Nursing Assistants for a local San Diego Hospital.

This candidate with be under the direct supervision of a RN/LVN. The CNA is responsible for providing and documenting nursing care for children and associated tasks as delegated by the licensed clinical nurses and within the identified scope of practice for a CNA.

Other duties:

Assists in preparation of patient spaces and gurneys for receiving patient admissions, transfers, emergencies or discharges.
Communicates all pertinent observations and reactions regarding patients to all appropriate persons. Documents observations accurately and concisely.
Provides direct patient care, incorporating individualized care plans, knowledge of growth and development, diagnosis and pertinent patient information.
May deliver non-controlled meds directly from the pharmacy or tube station to patient care areas; may deliver crash cart med trays, intubation trays, etc.
Supports patients during special tests and procedures.
Ensure that equipment is maintained in a clean and safe manner.
Assists with patient transport within institution.

Shifts are typically 12hr shifts, mainly in the evenings.
