Job Listing: Network/Systems Engineer w/clearance

The Secure Border Initiative is a comprehensive plan by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to gain operational control of the U.S. borders through the integration of increased staffing, interior enforcement, detection technology and infrastructure, and coordination on federal, state, local and international levels. A critical component of SBI is SBInet, a program focused on transforming border control through technology and infrastructure. SBInet will provide frontline personnel advantages in securing the nation's land borders through the most effective integration of current and next generation technology, infrastructure, staffing and response platforms. The SBInet solution will be managed and executed by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection agency, and will be deployed using a homeland security threat-based approach.

TEKsystems is searching for multiple Systems Engineers who have provided significant input into planning and who have performed field based installation/support activities for well structured deployments in large environments with multiple sites. Travel is required up to 100% of the time for deployment and support activities in Arizona. Individuals may be asked to support planning activities in Reston, VA but ultimately will split their time between Mesa, Tucson and Ajo Arizona with most of the time being spent in Tucson and Ajo providing operations support for the systems being deployed.

Qualifications:

* Hardware and software experience required (at least one out of the group below):
- IBM Blade server installation and management
- VM Ware ESX configuration and management
- NetApps Storage with DeCru encryption installation and management
- Dell powerEdge
- Symantic Net Backup
- Mcaffe
- Symantic Anti-virus Deployment
* Deployment planning and execution experience including:
- Creation of step-by-step processes
- Ability to follow detailed step-by-step procedures
- Create deployment documentation following processes, templates and requirements as set forth by the project
- A strong sense of coordination/communication and a focus on team success rather than individual visibility.

* Operations experience - Data center operations experience is strongly preferred
* Minimum of 8 years experience
* Strong skills with Windows Server, XP and Linux
* Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
