Job Listing: Microsoft Engineer/Systems Administrator/Field Support

Our customer is a large Health Care Organization based in Englewood. They are looking for a strong Microsoft Engineer to support several internal customers that will require up to 50% travel.

While traveling, the Microsoft Engineer will primarily work independently and must be able to perform with very little supervision.

The successful candidate will also work on-site at the facility in Englewood and will be responsible for the installation, operation, configuration and management of Microsoft Windows based servers and devices deployed in the network infrastructure.


Essential duties:
Installs, maintains, upgrades, and monitors hardware/software for the server infrastructure.
Performs moves/adds/changes, as needed.
Monitors backups and performs restores.
Participates in disaster recovery planning.
Tracks inventory and documents hardware, software, and licenses.
Updates skills as changes occur in the hardware/software infrastructure.
Provides first-level technical support for Microsoft technologies.
Applies and monitors security for operating systems, applications, and hardware.
Responds to operational problems and coordinates efforts with other technical personnel.
Clearly communicates in advance any changes which may affect operations.
Will require some on-call coverage responsibilities.

Required Skills

Candidates in consideration must have very strong communication and customer service skills.
Candidates must be willing to travel up to 50%.
AN MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) is strongly preferred. MCSE should be on Windows 2000 or above.

Education:
Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or a related technical field required.

Experience:
3 plus years experience supporting MS servers in a multi-domain, WAN environments.
3 plus years experience with Active Directory.
Strong knowledge of HW support.
2 plus years of total IT/server experience.
Working knowledge of hospital/Health Care facilities operations is very helpful, but not required.
