Job Listing: Manufacturing/ Industrial Engineer
This individual will be responsible for the following:
- Analyzing components and developing manufacturing and assembly schemes.
- Developing and implementing manufacturing documentation.
- Developing systems to measure and track process stability and quality.
- Implementing process improvement, reducing cycle times and scrap.
- Directing the design, development and/or improvement of manufacturing processes for fabricated and machined components.
- Specifying (including justification) capital equipment investments, tooling, etc.
- Taking leadership role in identifying and resolving manufacturing concerns.
- Driving an integrated least cost, best practice strategy.
- Providing manufacturing inputs to quality assurance.
- Supporting variability reduction and lean manufacturing techniques.
- Providing technical support for specific plant operations.
- Managing the launch of current and future products on the production lines.
- Participating in training of employees.
- Supporting OSHA, QA and other in- house programs.
Required Skills
- BS in Mechanical, Industrial or related Engineering field.
- 7+ years experience in a fast paced, challenging manufacturing environment.
- Practical hands-on approach to manufacturing.
- Experience with and exposure to, high speed welding operations
- Exposure to large robotic manufacturing systems.
- High levels of analytical ability dealing with unique problem sets.
- Strong oral and written English language communication skills.
- Proficient in the use of a range of software programs.
- Good interpersonal skills. Able to relate to and communicate with all levels.
- Available to travel to support manufacturing facilities in the USA and internationally - including Australia, Germany and Portugal.
