The world's leading Aerospace company has a 6-month contract position available for a Purchasing Agent (Contract and Pricing Administration) to work as part of a team.
JOB DUTIES:
The Purchasing Agent:
Participates in the preparation of proposal documentation for company products and services.
Performs the full spectrum of the contracts function for programs of significant value or complexity, or of an unusual nature.
Formulates basic strategy, including the following, into program execution plans and work authorizations:
Proper identification and proposal of contract type and the integrating of work statements
Delivery schedules
Price and payment provisions
Contract terms and conditions
Provides professional business leadership to Program Management in various contracts specialties.

This is an estimated 6-month contract position, through Volt Technical Resources - a division of a Fortune 1000 publicly traded Staffing Industry Leader, based in Atlanta, GA. We are among the largest IT staffing companies in the US for contract/temporary and direct hire placements and support most of the top rated IT companies in the Southeast.
Required Skills
Required Skills for this Contract and Pricing Administration position include the following:
Must have demonstrated proficiency in:
Analytical skills
Written and oral communication
Must have the ability to organize, plan, and prioritize a variety of assignments
Must be capable of working effectively with representatives from other sites and other functions
Previous Work Definition and Work Authorization experience required
A high level of proficiency with MS Office required
Familiarity with the following preferred:
Proposal and contractual documents
Work definition products such as:
Work Breakdown Structure
Responsibility Assignment Matrix
Work Authorizations
Cost Account
Earned Value Management
Government Contracting Practices
6-9 years of experience in Government Contract Administration or 10-13 years of equivalent education
BA/BS in Business or related field
