A Security Software company is hiring a User Interface Architect for UI design and development.
Position Description:
This is a Senior-level Software Architect and Developer position involved in leading the design and development of Our Client's suite of products comprised of real-time Complex Event Processing and Analytics using advanced Rules Engine, J2EE, XML, and AJAX technologies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The User Interface Architect will:
Lead complex User Interface development activities, which will require extensive research and development of web and desktop based graphical user interfaces.
Use a disciplined approach for design, development, maintenance, and documentation of commercial software products.
Promote established standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Develop solutions to complex problems which require ingenuity and innovation.
Analyze system functional and performance requirements to support design architectures.
Work in a team of skilled interdisciplinary professionals in a fast-paced start-up environment.
Lead efforts to scope and prioritize Technical design requirements to meet product requirements.

Required Skills for this User Interface Architect position include the following:
A track record of 7 to 10+ years of Enterprise Commercial Software Product Development experience and 5+ years of Product Leadership experience with:
XML
Java
J2EE
OO methodologies and technologies in Windows and Linux/Unix environments
M.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and/or equivalent relevant experience
Strong organizational and communication skills, with a capacity for attending to details
Practical experience and demonstrable proficiency with Web Services, XML, AJAX, HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, JDBC, Applets, Servlets, JSP, and J2EE specifications and other UI technologies
Other key skills and knowledge areas, include:
Rule-based Systems
Functional Programming
Security Models
Directory Models
Apache Tomcat
Rational Rose
Object and Relational Databases
Past experience in a commercial software company desired
