Description:
¿ Perform recommissioning of existing Air Force facility HVAC systems and provide a formal assessment regarding adherence to the Air Force Energy Management Plan
¿ Provide technical advice and assistance in support of Civil Engineering (CE) efforts to ensure control systems within hospitals, precision measurement equip labs, flight simulators, and other critical-use facilities are functioning properly to meet Air Force (AF) energy reduction goals
¿ Analyze Statements of Work, design specifications, and as-built drawings to ensure new systems meet or exceed design criteria and all national energy standards
¿ Support host base CE personnel by providing recommendations, based on collected data, to lower energy usage within their facilities
¿ Provide host base CE personnel with technical expertise, project management assistance, analyses, reviews and evaluations in support of AF energy policies in system designs, retrofits and upgrades, and shall support base personnel by providing energy conservation technical assistance via telephone and email
¿ Utilize professionally prepared communications to support AFCESA Civil Engineering Maintenance, Inspection, and Repair Teams (CEMIRT, Air Force Major Commands, and Sustainment, Restoration, and Modernization (S/R&M), and the CE community concerning meeting or exceeding the AF Energy Management Plan
Requirements:
¿ Must have specialized experience in the analysis of either chemical, civil, electrical or mechanical engineering systems or data. Must have detailed experience with and thorough knowledge of one or more phases of the systems engineering life cycle.
¿ Specialty: HVAC Equipment Testing, Balancing, Calibration, and Repairs
¿ Master level HVAC Technician and Controls Expert
¿ Computer literate, ability to handle software and programs considered tools of the trade
¿ Competent in at least 2 of MS Office products
Must be able to obtain a U.S. Secret Clearance
