Job Listing: Maintenance Manager

A large company in Chicago, IL is looking for a Maintenance Manager / Superintendent to join their team.

This Maintenance Manager / Superintendent would be responsible for supervising 1 Maintenance Supervisor and a team of Maintenance Technicians. this person would direct and coordinate the planning and activities of workers engaged in preventive maintenance, repair & maintenance of equipment, fabricating tooling and maintenance of buildings, grounds and utility systems in the plant and warehousing locations. Supervises maintenance technicians, Tool Makers, and other personnel involved in the maintenance of the facility and its equipment.

Job Duties -

- Provide for the upkeep of the plant and plant equipment by maintaining a staff of qualified Maintenance Technicians.
- Develop and manage preventive/predictive maintenance system.
- Manage spare parts process/inventory and recommend parts, and quantity of parts, necessary to run a 24-hour operation.
- Review materials used in facility with cross-functional team to ensure compliance and to keep in-house chemicals to a minimum.
- Support production teams to meet production goals.
- Identify maintenance metrics necessary to support the business objectives.
- Measure performance to metrics and develop corrective actions as needed. (Metrics to include, at a minimum, uptime, MTTR, MTBF, PM performance, etc..)

Job Requirements -

- Must have a strong background with training and troubleshooting of Maintenance equipment.
- Must have 5+ years of Maintenance Supervising experience.
- Must have 5+ years experience within the automotive industry.
- Must be proficient with PLC programming.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Strongly prefer a BS Degree.
