ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF CONSOLIDATIONS & REPORTING
Compensation: $100 - 140k base plus 15% bonus

Our Public biotech client is seeking a Associate Director for Consolidations & Internal Reporting. This leading biotechnology company has been selected by FORTUNE magazine as one of the "100 Best Companies to Work".

This role directs all aspects of the worldwide Consolidation and Internal Reporting for the corporation. Plans, prepares and reviews all periodic internal financial statements on a consolidated basis to meet the rigorous standards for accuracy and timeliness required by a public company. Leads the Consolidations and Reporting Team by developing objectives and implementing plans.

Specific Responsibilities:
- Coordinates the worldwide close and consolidation processes, ensuring data for 70+ entities is received, validated, consolidated and analyzed.
- Oversees the intercompany reconciliations and elimination process. Perform checks and analysis to proof the eliminations and consolidation.
- Maintains, through the system administrator, the consolidation application updated with latest internal and external requirements. Maintain to-date information on the latest guidance for the elimination and consolidation process
- Perform ad-hoc reports and analysis to ensure accuracy of the information received and contained in the system.
- Makes sure effective internal controls exist and participates in strengthening internal controls over area of responsibility. Ensures compliance to key controls as identified.
- Works with other members of the global finance function in solving accounting and financial reporting questions and problems. Serve as one of the system experts for Hyperion.
- Manage, develop and mentor staff members.
- Leads special projects as assigned.

Job Qualifications/Education:
- 10+ years experience in Accounting with a focus on consolidations and financial reporting.
- BS degree in Finance/Accounting,
- CPA strongly preferred
- Knowledge and proficiency with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) required.

Preferred experience
- experience with ability to manage, train, and evaluate personnel.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of GAAP/ Technical Accounting skills
- Corporate Consolidations financial statement preparation experience in a global/international company
- strong knowledge of foreign currency exchange, translation issues and intercompany accounting.
- A good understanding of the connection between financial statements, systems and the business
- Proven ability to be a self-starter, multi-task and prioritize in an extremely fast-paced, deadline driven environment. Ability to work in and contribute in a team environment
- Proven ability to build strong partnerships with internal business partners; Demonstrated communication and writing skills
