Job Listing: Civil/Structural Engineer, P.E-Bridges

A national civil and structural engineering consulting firm has an opening for a structural engineer with specialized design experience in pre/post-tensioned concrete bridges and structural steel bridges as well as the condition inspection of bridges to lead our bridge design group in the Phoenix Office.

Qualifications:
- BS in Civil Engineering (MS preferred) with PE licensure
- 10-15 years of progressive experience in the design of bridges and other transportation structures
- Knowledge of AASHTO, AREMA, AISC and ACI specifications and the ASD, LFD and LRFD design methodologies


The Position:
- Prepare and check design calculations
-Prepare reports
-Author technical scope of work text
-Develop project specific design criteria
-Coordinate with technicians
-Check shop drawings
-Fieldwork-inspection and site recon
-Technical research
-Respond to client review comments
-Technical coordination with outside clients and consultants and with internal disciplines
-Evaluate new software/design methodology
-Resolve technical issues and answer technical questions
-Participate in business development presentations
-Provide input for proposals
-Lead in developing and preparing proposals including coordinating with other team members for practice specific input
-Prepare or supervise preparing contracts and related documents for clients, subconsultants, subcontractors and vendors which conform with in-house counsel requirements
-Recommend execution of contracts and related documents for clients, subconsultants, subcontractors and vendors
