Job Listing: Web Developer

Summary: Responsible for code development, peer code review, adherence to consistency and standards, unit testing, system testing, and ability to mentor peers as required

- Participate in requirements gathering to provide technical input on system options and solutions.
- Participate in development of prototypes to validate system requirements with project management/business analyst teams and clients.
- Maintain an ongoing awareness of emerging developments and trends in technology that could impact current projects and influence new projects.
- Experienced in interpreting software system design specifications and technical documentation.
- Familiar with use cases, class diagrams, sequence diagrams, ERD.
- Participate in system/unit testing and requirements validation.
- Perform code review and provide feedback to peers.
- Provide progress reports for assigned development tasks to project development lead.
- Will be responsible for supporting new and existing applications.
- Able to mentor and assist other developers with more complex tasks.
- Lash business knowledge or some amount of prior healthcare industry knowledge preferred.
- Support troubleshooting efforts in production systems.
- Make recommendations for process improvement.

Minimum Qualifications & Education:

- Must be able to work within a team environment with tight deadlines.
- Must have thorough understanding of object-oriented programming methodology.
- Must have full development lifecycle experience
- Must have detailed understanding of ASP.NET page lifecycle and ordering of events related to page loading and postbacks.
- 4+ years of development experience.
- 4+ years of ASP.NET development experience.
- 4+ years experience using development tools such as: VB, ASP.NET (in vb syntax), TSQL, Java Script, XML, HTML, WCF, and Web Services.
- Detailed understanding of Microsoft AJAX components.
- Knowledge and experience using versioning and change control software.
- Experience using SQL Server and clear understanding of database concepts.
- Experience using 3rd party controls (Infragistics) preferred.
- Strong analysis and design skills required.
- Experience with .NET 2.0, 3.0 and 3.5 frameworks, as well as N-Tier and SOA architecture.
- Excellent communications skills (oral and written).
- Excellent technical communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or equivalent experience.
