POSITION TITLE

Safety Site Supervisor/On site construction safety representative, Construction Health & Safety Site Supervisor (Heavy Industrial Infrastructure Construction)

JOB DESCRIPTION

Have an IMMEDIATE need for two health and safety (H&S) Site Supervisors. 2 for the first phase of a refinery construction project in St. Charles, Louisiana that will last 2-3+ month but could last for an additional 8+ months.
- Act as the main Health and Safety Construction site supervisor and oversee all site safety This will include overseeing subcontractors to ensure proper safety procedures and precaution are being taken. Must be able to walk the construction site any time there are contractors on site as this will be a hands on day to day monitoring for site safety. Safety operations will include:
- Materials loading, building rigs, traffic, iron working, steel rebar and heavy equipment safety.
- Experience in the construction industry is a must, preferably in the heavy industrial area with specific experience in deep foundation and confined construction.
- Also will be involved with writing progress reports, document recordable and near misses and a general knowledge of safety paperwork is a plus.
- Basic first aid.
- Monitor any safety hazard that can be encountered on site.

START DAY

No later than October 13th

REQUIREMENTS

- OSHA 30
- OSHA 500
- 3+ years of Construction experience; specifically 2+ years experience working on Heavy Industrial Construction Projects (Water/Wastewater, Cement Plants, Power Plants, Bridges, etc.).
- Certified in First Aid / CPR / Emergency Rescue (not a must).
- Ability to successfully manage the H&S program on site; specifically being responsible for following the process guidelines for accidents/injuries on site and completing all of the necessary paperwork that correlates to each incident.

DURATION

3+ Months for this specific phase of the project with 8+ months most likely in addition to this. Other work expected in the future throughout the SE

$16.00 to $25.00 per hour (but commensurate with experience) plus 15+ hours of OT each week

EQUIPMENT

Hard hat, Safety Vest, Boots

HOURS

Monday through Friday from 6:45 to roughly 5:45 and most Saturdays for 5 – 8 hours

TRAVEL

WILL REQUIRE 100% TRAVEL and will have an option of per diem.
