Sr. Health Physicist / Engineer Job Description:
Description: Growing Professional Radiological Environmental Remediation Firm seeking Sr. Health Physicist with 6 to 12 years experience for our Baltimore, MD office. Specific Experience in Decommissioning Health Physics or Environmental Site Closure is preferred.
We are a radiological and environmental engineering firm with a specialization in site assessment, remediation, and high hazard projects with offices across the United States. Our clients include Department of the Army, Department of the Air Force, Department of Energy, Department of the Navy, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and select private clients.
Qualified candidates will analyze and develop solutions to a wide variety of technical and complex problems for a variety of federal and commercial clients. Responsibilities will include development and implementation of technically-defensible project design criteria; Preparation and Review of radiological and/or environmental planning documentation; Providing technical support to field teams performing site investigation and remediation tasks at radiological and hazardous waste sites; and ensuring field procedures and sampling conforms to client and company-specified QA/QC protocols and requirements. Candidate should be prepared to provide samples of prior technical writing.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university mandatory. Master’s degree preferred. CHP and/or PE certification desired. Knowledge of radiological and environmental regulations, programs, policies and procedures within his or her area of responsibility is required. Project-related travel to client sites and locations will be required.
A working knowledge of site investigation and closure protocols using the MARSSIM manual at both CERCLA and US NRC licensed sites is a must.
