Job Listing: SQL Server Database Administrator

Our uptown client is looking for a SQL Server Database Administrator. Candidates must have 5 years experience in the support of SQL Server 2000/2005 databases. Experience with technology features in SQL Server such as Partitioning, File Groups, Replication, Materialized Views, Options available in executing database statistics. Significant experience with management of database tables - sizing, expansion, and protection. Strong SQL Server database performance analysis and tuning skills. Experience with Microsoft Reporting Services, and Integration Services. Solid understanding of the Windows server operating system. Broad knowledge of related infrastructure, tools and services in support of SQL Server databases such as SANs, backup technologies, database administration, and business continuity. Exhibits strong teamwork and individual drive - highly motivated, articulate and eager to learn. Ability to learn/adapt quickly to a rapidly changing environment - ability to manage change. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and inter-personal skills (listening, conflict management, approachability, negotiations). Strong analytical and problem resolution skills, strong organizational skills, and ability to analyze business problems and opportunities. Experience in large 24X7 production IT operations.

Desired Qualifications:
Working knowledge of SSIS for Extract, Transform and Load for Operational Data Stores and Data Warehouses
Experience with SAN storage as infrastructure components to support deployment of SQL Server databases.
Experience with tools utilized in the support of SQL Server databases.
