Job Listing: Senior Manager of Digital Commerce

Our client in Beaverton, OR is seeking a Senior Manager of Digital Commerce.

As the Senior Manager of Digital Commerce Architecture and Web Innovation, you’ll lead a team of architects that provide robust, global e-Commerce websites. You’ll help create a strategic advantage by leveraging the Internet, leading Digital Commerce IT to an integrated architectural roadmap and updating it regularly based on our constantly changing business landscape. You’ll be responsible for establishing standards and expectations for all functional architects within Digital Commerce IT, including:

1. Influencing technology decisions & directions;
2. Providing ad-hoc consulting at project/initiative level;
3. Participating or leading proof of concepts and prototypes;
4. Setting standards for documenting our architectural landscape;
5. Developing and enforcing technical standards and best practices;
6. Developing, improving and enforcing software development processes and methodologies;
7. Promoting and ensuring software reusability and maintainability.

In this role you will oversee the architecture of our e-Commerce and Brand platforms, including oversight and management of relationships with team members, on-site consultants, partners, companies, third parties, and clients to define, develop and deploy technology solutions. You’ll assist clients in defining a strategic technology direction for solutions. You’ll evaluate and select business application packages and vendors. You’ll evaluate technologies and determine strengths and weaknesses of technology architecture, implementation and suitability. You will implement solutions to ensure consistency with the company vision, and will design and provide updates to standards to enhance future solutions. As our Senior Manager, you’ll be a visionary leader who researches technological advancements to ensure that information systems are continuously improved and aligned with industry and company standards.

Requirements for the position include:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science or a related field
- 8 years of experience in IT, business or a related field
- 2 years of additional experience required in lieu of a degree
- 3 years of progressive experience leading or managing teams, preferably including experience managing other managers
- Proven track record of delivering results in building and managing an Internet based product
- Proficient in the most current Internet technology applications
- Extensive technology implementation experience
- Capability to develop technology professionals with high expectations, a collaborative style and a focus on continuous improvement, quality and planning
- Experience working in startup organizations, as well as larger organizations desired
- Proven track record of success in fast-moving organizations
- Proven track record of success with complex technology applications
- Ability to translate business needs into new features and services critical
- Proven experience quickly understanding business requirements and helping various stakeholders in visualizing the solution
- Experience in driving technical standards and architectural vision
- Ability to pass a 7 year background investigation.
