Job Listing: Process Mechanical Engineer - Solar

SUMMARY:
The Mechanical Engineer is part of the operations team of a solar glass manufacturing company. This position is responsible for supporting engineering activities in operations such as the solar panel assembly implementation and manufacturing support.

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:
-Transfer panel assembly operation to the Mesa facility.
-Work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to implement panel assembly in Mesa.
-Conduct engineering tests and detailed experimental testing to collect design data or assist in research work.
-Write engineering work standards as well as quality and manufacturing documentation.
-The design, construction, test and checkout of test and manufacturing equipment and fixtures.
-Improve the process for panel assembly using lean manufacturing techniques.
-Work to train operators as needed.
-Support the assembly operation and meet the key manufacturing metrics.

EDUCATION:
-BS degree in engineering or equivalent.
-Able to do DOE's, Process Capabilities, and Lean Manufacturing.
-Able to work in a manufacturing environment

EXPERIENCE:
-3 years minimum of volume manufacturing experience as a mechanical, process, or industrial engineering.
-Experience with both automated and manual assembly.
-Experience with wire harnesses, glass, large metal frames, fixturing, torque drivers, electronic testers is preferred.
