Job Listing: Electrical/Security Estimator

Aerotek CE is currently recruiting an Electrical/ Security Estimator for a premier physical security systems integrator in the DC Metro area.

Electrical/ Security Estimator Responsibilities:
- Performs accurate material take offs and prepare material lists.
- Estimates labor hours required to complete specified work using estimating tools.
- Negotiates with suppliers to obtain best available pricing.
- Prepares written scope of work to define exclusions, inclusions, and definition of work.
- Follow ups with customers for bid submission.
- Negotiates with customers to obtain the best value for the customer while maintaining profitability for the Company.
- Prepares and submits any required documentation after award.
- Coordinate and estimate change orders throughout project.
- Oversee field installations per project

Electrical/ Security Estimator Qualifications
- Minimum of High School diploma
- Minimum of 3 years experience as an electrical estimator for commercial projects.
- Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain required
- Firm understanding in utilizing MS Office and especially MS Excel.
- Ability to read blueprints, interpret job specifications, and perform material take offs.
- Must understand current NEC code

Electrical/ Security Estimator Additional Desirable Skills and Knowledge

- Knowledge of MS Visio, MS Project, and Adobe PDF is desirable.
- Knowledge of electronic security devices, communication, and low-voltage is desirable.
- Knowledge of how to use MS Office is desirable.
- Minimum of an Associates Degree is desirable.
- Knowledge of Accubid or similar estimating software is desirable.

    Salary and Benefits

    Rate: $90,000 to $100,000 per Year
