Job Listing: Mechatronicsl Engineer

Lead Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineer – Washington DC based next-generation alternative and renewable energy technology incubator has an immediate opening for a talented and entrepreneurial engineer to support the design, development, and global implementation of advanced sustainable mobility and renewable energy generation systems. Job responsibilities will include concept validation, system and software specification, prototype design and assembly, tracking/prioritization of issues, verification/validation and field tests, interdisciplinary interface with consulting engineers and physicists, teambuilding, and the provision of expert technical leadership to ensure deployed system performance, quality, and safety. Experience leading fast-paced projects involving leading edge technology is a must. Candidates should possess a BSEE/ME/CE and a minimum of 5 years experience with hydraulic systems, hydrostatic drives, and/or implement systems; advanced drivetrain or machine development; adaptive/active suspension systems; or vehicle dynamics. The position also requires that the engineer be a self-starter, team player, adaptive, problem solver, and results oriented. Additional desirable traits include a relevant MS, MBA, or PhD degree and/or experience with sensors and actuators, dynamic system modeling, and/or Intelligent Transportation Systems.

Person will be able to work from virtual office at home vast majority of the time.
