C++ / OCR DeveloperThis Developer will be working on a highly visible project for a very well known company. They will be helping create applications for blind and visually impaired users.Daily Responsibilities:
Design, document, implement and test application module to enable computer vision and OCR.
Interface with Technical representatives of an off-the-shelf OCR vendor, to optimize the company's use of their software.
Evaluate available computer vision algorithms for inclusion in the application.About Our Client:

This is an estimated 3 month contract position (will likely extend) through Volt Technical Resources- a division of a Fortune 1000 publicly traded Staffing Industry Leader, located in Portland, Oregon. We are among the largest IT staffing companies in the US for contract/temporary and direct hire placements and support most of the top rated IT companies in the Pacific Northwest.

Required Skills

Required Skills for this Developer position include the following:
C++, OOD and STL.
Bachelor's Degree or 7 years of direct and relevant work experience.
Knowledge of OCR and computer vision algorithms (e.g. rotation correction, pattern recognition).
Code optimization (static/dynamic analysis, profiling, etc).Bonus Skills:
Boost experience.
