Our client's life sciences business addresses the needs of academic, institutional and pharmaceutical scientists in the areas of genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, bioinformatics, and pharmaceutical analysis. The Company's instruments, advice, software and services solutions optimize their customers' workflows in the collection, purification, detection, quantification, characterization and production of DNA, RNA, proteins, other organic molecules and their metabolites.
The successful Candidate will join the team assisting in the management of contract GMP pharmaceutical manufacturing and associated services. This includes creating proposals and building effective client relationships. You will determine and develop approaches to assignments, lead projects in conjunction with other functions and customers and deliver creative solutions in a wide range of situations.
- Prepare extensive cost models and generate substantial project proposals based upon calculation model and current market analysis for the Project Management Group.
- Assist in determining resource requirements and allocate discrete project goals amongst the departments required for the projects.
- Create and maintain budget forecast and actual account figures, as related to projects for Project Management Team.
- Excel at performing as a team player, contributing wherever needed.
- Possibly aide in business development by informing prospective clients of our manufacturing, development and analytical capabilities.
- Possibly gather custom project requirements / specifications from clients while building good business relationships.
Required Skills
A background in Science and the drive to learn are qualities that are required for this position.
Position requires a degree in Chemistry or a related science and 2 plus years working in a commercial cGMP lab environment.
- Experience converting chemical measurements.
- 2 years experience using Excel, manipulating databases, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated skills in creating and maintaining documentation, pharmaceutical development, chemistry and / or DNA/RNA analytical experience or production is desired, and cGMP regulatory knowledge is very helpful.
- Ability to maintain several client projects, multi-tasking as required.
- Must have Pharmaceutical and Project Management experience.
- Must know QA (quality assurance) vs. QC (quality control).
- Must have a chemistry and or biology background.
