Job Listing: Test Technician – Control Systems

Position Summary:
Is responsible for supervising the installation, start-up and commissioning of modification projects engineered by this group. Works with factory personnel to provide guidance in the assembly, wiring, testing and verification of switch gear prior to shipment. Works with technicians, customers, contractors and customer commissioning agents to ensure switch gear is installed properly ad operates according to plans and specifications. Prepares job site reports as needed. Directs and assists technicians and service workers during the installation and start up of a job. The amount of time necessary on the job will vary with the complexity of the job and the skill level of the technicians.

Required Skills
Prefer a Military Nuclear power background.Troubleshooting or editing Programmable Logic Control programs. Low and medium voltage power applications experience, as well as diesel and turbine generator control systems. Knowledge of SCADA or building control software is required. Problem solver. Measuring of existing equipment accurately for engineering design use. Use of oscilloscope, specialized test equipment, standard laboratory instruments and meters. Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as PC skills in Microsoft Windows based software. The ability to travel and work overtime as needed. Prefer a Navy Nuclear power background.
