Job Listing: Sharepoint Web Designer

• Participate as a member of project teams responsible for assisting Business Units and Site Collection Administrators in the design of SharePoint sites and site collections.
• Responsible for leveraging the capabilities of the SharePoint product to enhance Business Unit daily and long-term functionality and goals.
• Maintain and modify standardized site-templates to include branding and user-experience enhancement. May design variations.
• Responsible for insuring that site-designs and implementations are in compliance with governance policies and regulatory requirements.
• Design custom graphics designs and web parts.
• Design custom process workflow automations.
• Implement custom graphics designs and web parts.
• Implements custom process workflow automations.
• Create specifications for custom web parts development.
• Evaluate 3rd-party solutions for business unit needs.
• Work with Project Managers and Business Unit leaders to analyze business processes.
• Perform Tier 3 support duties for custom SharePoint implementations.
• Work under direct supervision and control of SharePoint Supervisor of SharePoint Administration.
• Give guidance to and assist more junior technical staff.


Required Skills

Bachelors in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field plus 5 years IT experience, 2-3 years Web Design experience including 1-2 years experience designing sites for SharePoint.
• In-depth knowledge of IIS and understanding of IIS web sites, application pools and the relationship these components maintain with SharePoint
• Familiar with SharePoint installation and configuration and the Central Administration GUI.
• Competent with the SharePoint command-line tool ‘stsadm’, especially in regards to installation and deployment of SharePoint solutions.
• Extensive knowledge and experience with SharePoint Designer 2007.
• Extensive knowledge of graphic design principles and extensive experience with graphics editing software.
• Competent with process analysis procedures.
• Working knowledge of .Net Framework 2.0 and 3.0, Software Development Lifecycle, C#, VB.Net, Visual Studio 2005/2008, ASP.Net 2.0, Database connectivity, Enterprise services, Web Application design and implementation.
• Competent with Windows Workflow Foundation and Visual Studio 2005 Workflow Interface.
• Extensive knowledge of electronic media graphic design, web design, business analysis, process analysis, and project management.



1-2 years experience designing automated workflows in SharePoint Designer 2007 and MS Visual Studio 2005.

• Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist: Windows SharePoint Server 3.0, Configuration.
