Job Listing: Accounting Supervisor / Sr. Accountant

Volt Professional Search, a division of Volt Services Group has partnered with an accessories manufacturer in the automotive industry, with their search for an Accounting Supervisor. This position will report to the Controller and the role of the Accounting Supervisor is to provide hands-on leadership to the accounting team, with 5 direct reports, encompassing general ledger accounting, journal entries, month end closings, payroll, accounts payable and cost accounting. In this position, the Accounting Supervisor will coordinate with other departments to resolve discrepancies relating to A/P and payroll. This position will also be responsible for the daily cash report, earnings on investments, tax reports including forms 941, 1097, 1098, 1099's, W2's, and miscellaneous dividends. Additional responsibilities include assisting the Controller with the Annual Business Plan, Annual Audit and review, year-end audit and tax schedules and quarterly tax estimates. The candidate will also prepare various reports divulging payroll and insurance information as required by insurance broker with respect to workers compensation, property, liability and auto insurance. Maintenance of calendar of tax payments and reports to ensure that deadlines are met, will also be the responsibility of the position. The candidate will also participate in monthly P/L preparation and review.
