Job Listing: Sr. Roadway Engineer - Project Manager

A leading consulting engineering firm specializing in transportation projects has an opening for a Senior Roadway Engineer.

The position requires technical expertise in roadway and highway design and the supervision and mentoring of junior engineers. The engineering duties are comprehensive, and include planning and scheduling of engineering work, client contacts, performing more advanced design, directing and planning the work of staff, organizing and developing contract plans, and developing contract specifications and bid estimates.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist Transportation Group Manager with specific project activities for roadway projects.
- Develop production work plans, schedules and budgets.
- Work with other project managers and unit manager to establish contract budgets and scopes of work.
- Lead roadway project team in analysis and design. Perform complex design.
- Ensure proper codes and standards are being used by engineers on projects.
- Supervise, coordinate and review the work of other engineers and technicians.
- Provide the design staff with guidance and assistance on projects.
Responsible for the successful completion of projects under his/her direction.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Requires BSCE degree with emphasis in roadway design
- Arizona P.E. license (or ability to obtain within six months)
- At least 7 years of roadway design experience
- Knowledge of design and analysis software, including InRoads, MicroStation, and AutoCAD preferred
- Must possess ability to prepare comprehensive engineering reports
- Experience with Arizona DOT plan preparation
