Job Listing: Mechanical Designer

Internationally recognized leader in Engineering Services is actively looking for a Mechanical Designer to join their operation in Centennial, CO.

Location: Denver, CO

Discipline: Mechanical

Job Scope:

- Responsible for the creation and maintenance of material handling drawings for multiple fossil power plant projects

- Responsibilities include following company/project standards and design procedures, utilization of the project database for checking purposes and processing project reports

- Additional responsibilities include running copies of drawings, completing transmittals and checking drawings


Qualifications:

- 10+ years designing mechanical equipment for power plants

- Proficient in Microstation (PDS) 3D

- Ability to use Microsoft Office tools such as Word and Excel to transport data to 2D CAD drawings

- Proficient knowledge of physical configuration of power plant material handling equipment (e.g., conveyors, crushers, dust collection, ash handling, etc.)

- Ability to check mechanical design drawings and equipment arrangements with support from engineers and import/convert vendor CAD Drawings into project model

- Ability to review, understand and comment on vendor drawings; proficient knowledge of structural steel, electrical, civil, and concrete foundation design practices

- Ability to coordinate design and work closely with other design disciplines/suppliers/vendors in the development of an integrated design

- Ability to coordinate with engineering to support construction and resolve issues

- Knowledge of physical configuration of power generation equipment (e.g., boiler, turbines, fans, pumps, etc.) preferred
