Job Listing: Mechanical Inspector

Aerotek is currently hiring for the position of a Mechanical Inspector for our client located in Greenbelt, MD.

Our client is an employee-owned engineering firm that provides mission critical solutions to the US government, and are currently seeking a Mechanical Inspector to join their team who has experience in the Plumbing, Mechanical, HVAC fields.



Duties/Qualifications:

-Candidate should have the ability to read blueprints and a working knowledge of OSHA Standards, as well as experience using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

-Candidate reports directly to the QC/Safety manager and MUST be able to work as a team member.

-Must be willing to provide high quality services to customers as well as comply with all Quality Control / Safety Requirements. Must perform daily inspections for Quality & Safety on ALL assigned projects working.

-Performs Safety Inspections and fills out the appropriate forms for monthly reports.

-Performs and fills out Receiving Material Inspection Checklist for monthly reports.

-Review As-Built during jobs and when submitted for final close-out.

-Review submittals when submitted by In-house Leads to make sure they are per specifications and per code, signs and turns in to QC/Safety Manager.

-Attend Preconstruction meetings and fill out the appropriate forms for filing, as well as assigned jobs Progress Meetings if deemed necessary.

-Performs Construction Complete punch list when requested.

-Performs Close-out Finals and checks punch list on assigned jobs for corrective actions made.

-Perform Constructability Reviews when assigned.

-File Daily Reports after being signed off by the QC/Safety Manager.

-Daily Work Schedules are to be completed every morning and sent by e-mail to the appropriate personnel by 7:00 AM.

-Perform a Hazard Analysis on ALL jobs assigned and turn in to the QC/Safety Manager for approval prior to the start of a project.

-Shifts are flexible, some night time work may be required and weekend work may occur once per month.
