Test Engineer / Controls Engineer
In accordance with sound and acceptable engineering principles, develops Functional and System Test equipment hardware, software and methods for use in the testing of control and automated products and systems. Receives assignments from department manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Design of Automated Test Equipment (hardware, application software, test automation software). 2. Performs integration of test hardware and test software with product under test. 3. Develops design documentation and test procedures for the test equipment. 4. Executes system test, documents test results.

Leadership - Projects require self-direction and ability to adjust to changes in priority and scope. A dynamic team oriented organization, which demands a sense of urgency, customer focus, and process improvement.

Interpersonal - Good communications skills, influence capabilities, and an ability to work within a cross-functional team environment to achieve position objectives. Projects involve the interaction between departments including Design Engineering, Operations, and Quality.

Required Skills

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree in electronics or electrical engineering, or computer science.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

1. Must have strong ControlLogix background and experience with networks. Experience with redundancy a plus.

2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in test system design for products containing embedded software.

3. Demonstrated ability in cost effective design and implementation of control and automation systems.

4. Demonstrated ability in development of automated test systems.

5. Demonstrated ability in identifying and documenting product defects.

6. Project management skill. Detailed knowledge of and experience using ControlLogix and Drives products is a must for this position.
