Job Listing: J2EE Architect

TEKsystems is currently looking for J2EE Enterprise Architect for a client of ours in Fort Washington, PA.

He/She will be responsible for the following on a day-to-day basis:

* Collaborate in the development of standards for web-based applications and middleware

* Ensure consistent application of those standards throughout the enterprise, by working with project teams across the organization.

* Orchestrate a sound implementation balanced by project requirements, timelines, and budget constraints.

* Help project teams make the best decisions about how to structure their applications.

* Review development team code to ensure best practices are followed.

* Provide guidance for development teams on how to modularize their application into cohesive, reusable services.

* Help development teams get started with portlet development and guiding them though the project lifecycle.

Individuals applying for this position should have worked in enterprise development for at least 8 to 10 years, with at least 5 years of “hands on” enterprise Java development experience.

He/She should also have broad knowledge in the J2EE technologies, including topics such as EJBs, messaging, workflow, XML processing, web service protocols, and portal knowledge.

Specific technologies preferred:

- Spring IOC and AOP container
- Spring MVC and Web Flow
- Hibernate
- J2EE 1.4 platform APIs
- DB2 and Oracle, including PL/SQL
- WebSphere Application Server including deployment, tuning, and troubleshooting

Individuals must have experience with J2EE/Web Interfaces and have strong experience with Spring/hibernate.
