Job Listing: Project Control Specialist

TEKsystems has partnered with a large government integrator to identify a Project Control Specialist. This position will be a 3 month contract to hire position located in Crystal City, VA.

Responsibilities:

* Responsible for various financial and administrative functions such as
project scheduling, budgeting, auditing, forecasting, and analysis.
Candidate must have MS Project experience, familiarity with calculating
EVM, and experience with SPI and CPI at the project task level.

* Collects and reviews daily project tasks and assigns tasks in priority
order to the teams; tracks equipment inventory from shipping point to
site destination; completes requisite government forms for inventory
control and ensures they are signed and provided to the customer's
asset custodian.

* Creates, maintains, and updates financial databases and spreadsheets,
project plans and schedules and generates reports as required.

* May be assigned to perform financial analysis of assigned contracts'
projected staff hours, contract totals, revenues, and profit totals.

* Conducts project audits and analysis of the organization's direct and
indirect costs based on EVM, SPI and CPI. Works closely with the
Finance manager and project leads to ensure reports and deliverables
are submitted timely and accurately reflect project status.

* May have risk identification and recovery responsibilities

* Ensures compliance with internal policies and procedures, as well as
DAR, FAR, and other government regulations

* Monitors and reports performance against plans to ensure that
contractual, cost, and schedule objectives are met

This position requires BS/BA degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience.

Requires 3-5 years experience. Knowledge of the practices, procedures, and processes of financial analysis; Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and policies; Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Project is required. Must be proficient in all other Microsoft Office applications and must demonstrate effective communication skills.

Candidate must be ITIL Foundation certified or capable of obtaining ITIL Foundation level certification within 60 days of hire (training provided at employer expense).
