Job Listing: Business Development Manager

Our client is a leader in sustainable energy services and facility management. With headquarters in Boston, MA, our client has grown rapidly over the past two years, and has further plans for significant growth over the next five years through acquisitions and organic growth.

They have an immediate need for a Business Development Manager that will be responsible for identifying and developing long-term, integrated, energy services contracts and will lead the pursuit of new business opportunities by establishing strong relationships with existing and potential clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Identify potential customers and develop relationships with key decision makers in the client organization in order to assess opportunities with the company
-Act as primary focal point with the client
-Manage and participate in proposal preparation, pricing and presentations to customers
-Formulate and write technical proposals reflecting the strategic approach towards developing a new project
-Lead negotiations with clients, including preparation of contracts and possible structuring of financing solutions
-Manage internal development activities including technical audits by development engineers
-Must serve as a close liaison with other members in the team (operations, finance, legal, insurance, risk management, etc.) throughout the entire sales process
-Assess competitor strengths, weaknesses and strategic direction

Required Skills for Business Development Manager Job:

  • BACHELORS DEGREE IN ENGINEERING
  • 10 – 15 YEARS’ EXPERIENCE IN BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT WITHIN THE ENERGY & UTILITIES OR ENGINEERING SERVICES INDUSTRY
  • COMMERCIAL INDUSTRY
  • EXPERIENCE WORKING IN THE U.S. ENERGY MARKETS
  • STRONG FINANCIAL SKILLS
  • KNOWLEDGE OF ROI
  • KNOWLEDGE OF ENERGY SERVICE CONTRACTS
  • HANDS-ON PROJECT EXPERIENCE

    Salary and Benefits

    Rate: $80,000 to $150,000 per Year
