Job Listing: QA Specialist

Our client, in Harrisburg, is looking for a junior level QA Specialist to join their team for at least a six month contract.

On a day to day basis, the ideal candidate will be expected to work with our clients web developers to test websites and web applications. Responsibilities will include:
-- Identify defects and bugs
-- Maintain a detailed focus on thoroughly testing the websites and web applications developed by our Web Developers.
-- Be responsible for ensuring we are delivering websites and applications of the highest quality to our clients.
-- Work with both internal and contracted team members to complete tasks on time, within scope and within budget.
-- Have the ability to pay attention to detail and compare proposed solutions to the actual development.
Essential to this position are strong skills in identifying defects and writing detailed descriptions of the defects.
-- Find and report errors and/or missed functionality as per the business requirements for websites and applications.
-- Be able to verify that the actual website developed matches the approved graphical web design compositions EXACTLY.

In order to be qualified for this contract position, the ideal candidate will possess:
-- 1-2 years work experience in software testing or business analysis.
-- The ability to see things from multiple perspectives.
-- Good oral and written communications skills.
-- The ability to work in fast-paced environment.
-- Exceptional ability for attention to detail.
-- An understanding of generally accepted QA processes and procedures.

This is a contract position with our client. Prior to submittal we will require two technical supervisory references and a technical screening. The hourly rate is negotiable based upon experience.
