Job Listing: Plane Captain
DS2 is hiring plane captains for its program at China Lake NAWS in Ridgecrest, CA. The Plane Captain (Aircraft Servicer) will be working on the F/A-18 aircraft.
Job Description:
The candidate shall be capable of performing pre/post flight, daily inspections, and aircraft servicing functions and shall be licensed to operate GSE in support of the assigned T/M/S aircraft at VX-9. Maintenance experience in one or more of the following areas is desirable: aircraft structures, hydraulics, pneumatics, power plants and related systems or egress systems. Will perform essential flight line services as directed to meet VX-9 scheduled operations.
Minimum Requirements:
Candidates are strongly recommended and desired to be a high school graduate or equivalent. Shall have a minimum of three years organizational level aircraft maintenance experience with at least one year experience on one type of the following aircraft: F/A-18 A-F, EA-6B, and AH-1. Additional Plane Captain qualifications may be obtained by utilizing contractor On-the-Job Training (OJT).
Work Conditions:
China Lake is located on the high Mojave Desert Region. Maintenance tasks are performed outdoors as well as in the maintenance hangar / shops.
This is a direct position with full benefits. Per diem of $119/day for relocation is available as well as $.485/mile for relocation.
